Our Technology
Redundant servers are the norm in any emergency monitoring facility, but almost all have a single point of failure in the device that links the automation to the receiver. A typical concentrator connects up to 8 receivers to the automation at one time. If this device has a failure the receivers can be down for a minimum of 15 minutes. At LEGACY not only do we have hot redundant automation and receivers, we have hot redundant Signal Processors, replacing the out dated concentrator technology.
Our monitoring software is not locked down by old technology. By choosing we have the ability to customize the automation system to cater to our customers' needs, an obstacle that many central stations have, we can now overcome.
Working with our phone vendor and our automation vendor we have linked the two systems together. Want to quality check our operation? Is a customer disputing a false alarm fine? Just click the audio link in the alarm history to listen to the calls directly. We are so confident in our customer service levels we make phone recordings available to you at any time.
LEGACY has installed the latest and greatest technology the industry has to offer in alarm receiving equipment. By using Surgard System III and Bosch 6600 receivers, we are able to accept any format from any alarm panel. There is no longer a need to have multiple receiver lines for different alarm panels and formats. Our receivers are smart enough to remember each customer separately and the format they are transmitting. This is done through ANI technology (reading the caller ID) so that alarm transmission times are shortened. This relates to lower telephone charges. LEGACY and SIS utilize the latest in DNIS technology through their receivers so there is no chance of a busy signal. At most central stations an alarm dealer has one or two possible lines dedicated on a receiver. If you have three alarms go off at the same time one will receive a busy signal. At LEGACY every alarm panel has 36 lines waiting for your next transmission. You will never hear a busy signal. In addition, LEGACY dedicates a specific line for each Alarm Dealer. Never again will you have to worry about a ghost signal or another alarm dealer tripping one of your customer's alarms.
