PANIC: Small enough to hide, yet easy to activate, the panic button is used when help is needed. The button can be worn on the wrist, around the neck, on a clip or mounted. It is also water resistant for use in the shower where falls are most common.
FIRE: Using optional wireless smoke detectors the system can respond to the threat of fire while occupants sleep. (Read article where Caregard could have saved a life)
MEDICATION: Often medical emergencies occur when a person fails to take their medication. Using a programmable alert schedule, the system reminds a person to take their medications. An alert can even be sent to a care giver, son, daughter or neighbor if the person does not acknowledge the reminder.
ACTIVITY: Using optional detectors, the G.E. Caregard is always monitoring movement in the home. Should a person become immobilized and unable to press their panic button, the Activity Alarm will call for help.
PHONE ANSWER: Rushing to answer the phone is a thing of the past for people with limited mobility! With Caregard, the user simply pushes the pendant button while someone is calling to answer using the system’s speaker phone.
RESPONSE: Upon any alarm, the system dials the nearest state-of-the-art “Emergency 24” monitoring facility. Immediately an operator can start a two-way conversation with the occupant in the home to determine the help needed. In business since 1966, Emergency 24 has been monitoring emergencies for government, businesses and families using a highly trained team and the best equipment available.
